Mayotte is sorely lacking in cheap hotels. The establishments of the island often welcome businessmen, officials on mission or wealthy vacationers. They offer top of the range: lagoon view, swimming pool, air conditioning ...
In Mamoudzou, however, there are a few establishments offering rooms from € 35. Everywhere else, you will have to pay between 80 and 110 € per night in a double room.
A formula widespread on the island. A good compromise between the conviviality of a guest room and the tranquility of a luxury hotel. Often located on the edge of the lagoon, the lodgings offer a wide variety of services ranging from youth hostel-type dormitories to bungalows with their feet in the water at 150 € per night.
TrèTerre to pitch their tent & hellipend, many nature lovers meet there: it is also the opportunity to witness, from the front row, the night turtle laying. Some islets like that of Bandrélé are also suitable for wild camping.
In July-August you can find houses to keep. No rent to pay (or very little). In exchange, you monitor the home of Mahorais or metropolitan people who have gone on vacation far from Mayotte.
