Here is a quick recap of the different kinds of establishments you will come across. Some restaurants and bars serve alcohol, others don't. Generally, establishments near mosques do not serve alcoholic beverages.
- Meyhane: we meet there for a drink (alcohol always served), accompanied by & oelig Lokanta: ask Kebabç Ocakbaşı: it's a kebabç Kahve: they don't serve alcohol.
In contrast, the coffee Ç Kö Restaurant: special Pideci: special Gazino: this is the version " İşkembe salonu: serves tripe soup and other offal.
In the meyhane and some restaurants in the “Chic” category, don't be surprised to see the kuver charged. This is a fixed sum per person for water and bread. Usually it is indicated at the bottom of the map.
