Transport and travel Dubrovnik
Warning if you are driving
The old town is at the foot of the ramparts.
If you can't find a place there, you will have to continue towards the Pile gate (avoid its very expensive parking lot, 40 Kn / h!) Then through Gruž before returning to the starting point and starting over ...
The places in the street are according to the zones from 10 to 20 Kn / h and this from 6 am to 22 pm or 2 am according to the zone.
Depending on the sectors, purchase of tickets at counters provided for this purpose, at the parking meters or via SMS: check the instructions on the signs. And beware, in season, plums fall quickly!
Otherwise, possibility of 1 Kn to recover his vehicle from the impound, nothing less.
In short, a good tip: give up the idea of driving in Dubrovnik and take the bus. You will save time, money, and preserve your nerves ... and the ozone layer!
In principle, hotels have car parks (most often paying), and guest houses always have some solutions to offer.
From the center (Pile gate), the most practical bus lines are the numé1h lines.
Ticket price: 12 Kn at the kiosk and 15 Kn on the bus (provide extra).
You can also opt for the Dubrovnik Card, which includes free public transport.
Rent a scooter
Around 180-250 Kn depending on the season for renting a 50 cc scooter for one day. Most often, the national driving license is sufficient. A security deposit is required when picking up the vehicle (variable amount).
