Find your way around Moscow
Moscow is a gigantic city and generally round in shape, the center of which is the Kremlin. She understands at least 3 large circular concentric axes. The first, in fact a belt of tree-lined boulevards, surrounds the center, about 2 km from Red Square and the Kremlin; the second, nicknamed "the ring of the Gardens" (Sadovoye koltso), is a real ring road, very wide, located about 2 km further (and therefore about 4 km from the center); the 3rd, called mkad, which is much further away, is a real motorway more than 100 km long.
Fortunately, things go wrong with the double twist.
In this regard, know that ulitsa (abbreviated ul.) Means "street", that pereulok (per.) Designates an alley (on the scale of Moscow, an "alley" often has the dimension of a street in our region! ), prospekt (pr.) an avenue, plochad (pl.) a square and naberejnaya (nab.) a quay.
When an address has 2 numbers separated by a dash (like Petrovka, 7/9), it can have 2 meanings: either it is at the crossroads of 2 streets, in this case at n ° 7 of the Petrovka and at n ° 9 from another street, or the 2nd digit indicates the entrance number or the building number.

Money and change
No problem 10 a.m. to 19 p.m. A few are open every day, and sometimes (but that's quite rare) 24 hours a day.
Otherwise, you can easily withdraw money with a Visa, MasterCard, Maestro or Cirrus card, because the ticket machines are legion, especially in the center.

Since October 2014, Russians no longer change their time: they stay all year round in winter time.
The European Commission announced in 2018 that it was considering abandoning daylight saving time and winter time at the end of 2019 or in 2020. In the meantime, when it is 12 p.m. in Paris, it is 13 p.m. in Moscow in summer and 14 p.m. in winter.
It is very easy to connect to wifi in accommodation, cafes, restaurants and other public places. Moscow is even equipped with many free hotspots in the streets of the center (roughly, inside the first 2 circulars). Very simple access procedure.
