Chicago culture and blues
Chicago, city of the blues
Le Chicago blues is a form of blues that developed in Chicago by adding instruments like electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, piano, even brass, to the classic instrumental base of Delta Blues, namely guitar acoustics and harmonica.
The rise of the Chicago Blues was due to the industrialized cities of 1930.
But the so-called Chicago Blues style covers, in fact, several different genres while coexisting - in the black districts until the 1960s. Big Bill Bronzy, Sonny Boy Williamson, Howlin 'Wolf, Bo Didley, Buddy Guy, Elmore James, Albert King, Freddie King, Muddy Waters and, above all, John Lee Hooker are the most famous links in a chain which, despite its often-highlighted breaks, nonetheless retains a real continuity. Some prominent Chicago clubs continue to ensure the sustainability of the movement.

The city was a founding member of the Chicago Council on Climate Change, the only reUnis program. On the basis of this commitment, the former mayor Richard M. Daley in 2007 assembled a working group to develop the Chicago Climate Action Plan to analyze Chicago's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and to develop strategies. to reduce them.
The task force consulted with dozens of experts, an internationally recognized research advisory committee, and numerous representatives of Chicago-area business, municipal and environmental affairs.
Chicago was thus the 1st to identify sources of greenhouse gas emissions, to calculate the estimated impact of each and to present the specific solutions responding to the research. Thus, we owe him the 1st greenhouse gas emissions trading system in the world (Chicago Climate Exchange).
Above all, through a system of tax incentives, it has become "The city with green roofs" (Green Roof City), with nearly 420 m² of green roofs. Tree-lined and planted avenues, vast parks on the edge of the lake, also earned it the nickname "City in a garden".
