The highly rated Rainforestation Nature Park is a 100-acre (40-hectare) tourist attraction in the middle of the rainforest, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located 30 minutes from Cairns and 5 minutes from the village of Kuranda, the private park is locally run by the Woodward family.
Climb aboard a World War II Army Duck amphibious vehicle to enjoy a unique land and water excursion through the rainforest, during which your guide will identify and explain plants and wildlife fascinating along the way. Then, visit the Tropical Fruit Orchard, which contains over 40 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees.
You will learn about Aboriginal culture during the interactive experience with the Pamagirri Aborigines. Watch a traditional dance performance in a rainforest amphitheater, then join the Dreamtime Walk, which includes boomerang and spear throwing and didgeridoo.
