The Shark Walker Experience at Melbourne Aquarium lets you immerse yourself in the thrill and excitement of walking with some of the most misunderstood creatures of the deep – sharks!



Ideal for those who have never dived before, the Shark Walker experience begins with an introductory theory lesson. All gear is provided including wetsuits, gloves, boots, weight belt and Shark Walker helmet.

It is then time to enter the depths of the Oceanarium. You will spend 20 minutes surrounded by gray sharks, giant rays, turtles and hundreds of exotic fish. Only the two "Shark Walkers" will be in the Oceanarium together with a qualified instructor.

You will then be free to explore the award-winning Melbourne Aquarium at your leisure. Admire the majestic and playful kings that are gentoo penguins at the Antarctica exhibit and see some of the world's strangest marine animals at the Mysterious and Wonderful exhibit.

Meet rainbowfish, turtles, snakes, catfish, spectacularly dangerous killer frogs and Australia's largest freshwater fish, the Murray cod, this at occasion of the River's and Reef exhibit, and get a fresh look at giant sharks and rays at the Sharks Alive exhibit.
