This afternoon you will enjoy the cultural tour of Murdudjurl to learn about the local indigenous people, bush spices and arts and crafts. Return to camp for the evening, for dinner around the camp. Camp: Kakadu Permanent Campsite.

2nd day: Kakadu After an early breakfast, depart for our day out to Gunkurdul (Twin Falls) and Barrkmalam (Jim Jim Falls). These falls are in a remote area of the park accessible only by 4×4, some 70 kilometers off the road accessible via a dirt road. This is an area of incredible natural beauty, and the waterfalls are fed by rainwater, so after several months of no rain (in August and September) it is possible that they cannot flow. The rock pool and surrounding area are beautiful all year round and well worth the trip. Gunkurdul is only accessible by water so we will take a short boat ride through the gorge to the beach at the foot of the falls. After a picnic on the banks of the river, you will hike (about 1 km) through the rainforest to Barrkmalam and its crystal clear waters. Return to camp for dinner and overnight. Camp: Kakadu Permanent Campsite – Murdudjurl

Day 3: Kakadu to Darwin After breakfast in the morning, you will set off for the spectacular cruise to the Yellow Waters, home to a wide variety of birds and any saltwater crocodiles that might roam there. Next, you will travel to either the clear and spectacularly beautiful rock pool of Maguk (the Barramundi Gorge) or the stunning rock art site of Nourlangie, depending on conditions. We then take the Arnheme Highway back to Darwin, arriving there around 18:30 p.m.
