The best neighborhoods to sleep in Valencia

Valencia is a relatively large city with many neighborhoods. We are only going to focus here on the most touristic and most interesting districts from the point of view of a stay of a few days in Valence. Focus on 4 neighborhoods where to sleep in Valence.

Old City

Cuitat Vella is none other than the historic center of the city of Valencia. This district will therefore be a first choice place to sleep in Valencia. This area is one of the liveliest in the city with countless restaurants, bars and cafes. Cuitat Vella, the oldest district of the city, has places of interest of the utmost importance that you absolutely must visit. There is, for example, the Place de la Virgen, the main square of the city of Valence, the cathedral of Valence or the central market.
To the north, this district is bordered by the unmissable Turia Park. To the south, the district is bounded by the arenas of Valence and its train station.

L’Example

Example means “extension” in Valencian. You will therefore have understood the history of this district in this simple word. The district was built after the Cuitat Vella, when it became too small. This new district was therefore created to enlarge the city. It is now part of the city center of Valence and has become a must on a visit to Valance. This district has the particularity of hosting an impressive number of restaurants, original and atypical tapas bars. If you are not staying in this area, I still recommend that you spend an evening there.

Outer walls

The Extramurs district is located to the west of the city. Newer than the Cuitat Vella or the Example, this area is much quieter than these two neighbors to the east. The layout of the streets testifies to the more recent side with wider and straighter avenues. This district has the advantage of being located close to the historic duke. It is also crossed by several metro lines from North to South but also from East to West. It will therefore be very easy for you to reach the city center, the beach or even the airport of Valencia. Extramurs can also be a smart choice where to stay in Valencia.

Valencia beach

The last area we are going to focus on to find out “where to sleep in Valence”, the beach area. Located a little away from the city center, the beach is about 6 kilometers from the city center. Many metro lines connect the beach district of Valence to its city center. This district is very dynamic especially in the evening. The beach is bordered by a long promenade where there are many bars and restaurants. If you like to spend time on the beach, then this area can be ideal for a stay in Valencia. You can reach the city center in 15 minutes by metro.
