To escape the surrounding grayness, here are some destinations where the sun is bound to be there! Two to three hours by plane are enough for a few days of idleness and a total change of scenery.

 

Andalousie

Andalusia is undoubtedly the most exotic region in Spain, with its landscapes and exceptional cultural riches. The region is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Inland, fertile plains rub shoulders with lunar hills and mountain ranges. To visit: the mythical Seville, Guadalquivir and Granada, I also advise you to venture into small villages: Cadiz, Ronda, Huelva, Casares.

Tunisia

With its beaches and its sun, Tunisia is a very appreciable and above all very affordable destination. Get off the beaten track, move away from the very touristic north east coast to discover the green valleys, the northern plateaus, the vast southern desert, the island of Djerba "the sweet". The companies Tunisair, Air France, Lufthansa and Transavia offer flights to Tunisia.

Cyprus

Jewel of the Mediterranean, Cyprus is a land bathed in sunshine all year round. It offers a total change of scenery, with its rural, mountainous and marine landscapes. The only company which operates direct Paris-Cyprus flights is the national company Cyprus Airways, with its 4 to 5 weekly flights.

The Canary Islands

No less than seven islands for sunbathing all year round! The climate is spring there and the heat never stifling thanks to the trade winds. Each island is full of beautiful places. Do not miss the lava desert of the island Lanzarote and the endless beaches of the island Fuerteventura, the least touristy of the archipelago.

Island of malta

The archipelago of Malta, south of Sicily, is just a three hour flight from Paris. It is a place of relaxation that mixes all styles: ocher fortresses, multicolored fishing boats, dry plateaus dotted with small hamlets, the turquoise blue Mediterranean. Malta is a cheap destination and from Paris the national carrier Air Malta flies to the island daily.
