Combine two popular excursions in Salzburg and benefit from a complete discovery of Salzburg! In the company of a professional guide, spend time in the Austrian Alps discovering the breathtaking landscapes of the Lake District, one of the most beautiful regions in Austria. Discover impressive sights such as Fuschl Castle and go on a boat trip on Lake Wolfgang. Then, spend your afternoon exploring the salt mines, visiting the quaint Bavarian village of Berchtesgaden, and going on raft and train rides. The picturesque contrasting landscape will make this day unforgettable.

The salt mines
Start your day by leaving Mirabellplatz in a comfortable coach to visit the 450-year-old salt mines. The site lies below Obersalzberg, a mountain complex that is home to the Eagle's Nest, famous for being Hitler's refuge. Walk in the footsteps of miners wearing traditional miners' outfits as you descend into the caves. Your guide will tell you fascinating stories and interesting facts about this underground world as you explore. Then, cruise across the salt lake in a raft with your guide, descending to the mine, before enjoying a train journey around the lake.
Your tour continues to the quaint Bavarian village of Berchtesgaden. Wander its picturesque streets on your own before relaxing on the drive back to Salzburg. Enjoy an hour of free time at Mirabellplatz to go for lunch at one of the nearby restaurants (own expense) before your next excursion.
