On this 4-hour excursion in Rio de Janeiro, admire the beauty of Brazil's natural landscapes at the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden and Tijuca Rainforest. Discover several varieties of exotic plants at the famous botanical garden and take a seat in a jeep that will take you to the Tijuca Rainforest for a 15-minute hike through the spectacular flora and fauna of the forest!

After pickup from your Rio hotel, your half-day tour begins at Rio de Janeiro's Historic Botanical Garden. Discover a variety of exotic plants from around the world in this famous garden which is home to water lilies, towering sequoias, royal palms, and a large greenhouse housing more than 500 types of orchids. The garden is also home to fountains, historical monuments and hundreds of birds.
You then stop in the Tijuca Rainforest, in the heart of the city. Take a short 15-minute walk through the forest and learn more about preserving the ecosystem. Along the way, enjoy magnificent views of the forest around you, passing Cascatinha de Taunay (Taunay Waterfall), Capela Mayrink (Mayring Chapel), and Açude da Solidão (Reserve of Solitude). Spot animals: you are likely to see monkeys and exotic birds! On the way back to your hotel, stop at Pepino Beach to admire hang gliders.
