Syntagma metro station, where your visit begins with many archaeological exhibits, including the ancient tombstone, a 5th century BC aqueduct, pottery, a 2.000 year old beehive, and a 5th century mosaic A.D.

The collection, housed in one of Athens' best-preserved neoclassical buildings and spanning three floors, includes Bronze Age finds from Mycenae and Thessaly; two early works by El Greco, ecclesiastical furnishings brought from Asia Minor, pottery, copper, silver and woodwork from Egypt, Asia Minor and Mesopotamia, and an astonishing collection of Greek regional costumes.

After your visit to the Museum, descend on the road of Herodes Atticus, where you will see the presidential residence, the Maximou Palace, and at the house of the Panathenaic, the stadium of the first Olympic Games in 1896.

Visit the Temple of Zeus, the largest temple in Greece. The temple is impressive for the size of its 104 Corinthian columns, 15 of which remain. Your tour will end at Hadrian's Arch, built by Hadrian in the year 132.
