Take a comprehensive tour of the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp, just north of Berlin, on this 2-hour private tour. In the company of a personal guide, visit various sites and exhibits in the Concentration Camp Memorial area where thousands were imprisoned and many murdered during World War II. Learn about the history of the camp and the Nazi Party during an overview of one of history's greatest tragedies.

This half-day tour begins with pickup from your Berlin hotel at a time of your choice. Board your private car or minivan with just your group and personal guide, then drive approximately 40 minutes north of the city to the former concentration camp of Sachsenhausen. Between 1936 and 1945 over 200 people were imprisoned at Sachsenhausen, and the camp was the center of the entire concentration camp system in use from 000 until the end of the Third Reich in May 1936.

Upon arrival, explore with your guide the surviving buildings and sites that are now open to the public in the form of a memorial and museum. Examine the exhibits and buildings on display, and learn about the particular history of each site from your guide's insightful commentary. Watch a thematic presentation focusing on the concentration camp system and Nazi Germany more generally.

After approximately two hours in Sachsenhausen, return to your vehicle and travel back to Berlin, where your tour ends with drop-off at your chosen location.
