With its long white sand beach, multicolored lifeguard huts and pastel facades, Miami Beach has been seducing tourists for exactly a century. A centenary in great shape, who will celebrate it with music… and all year round!
Miami Beach: 100 years old and still trendy!
Miami Beach, a simple Miami neighborhood? Not at all ! Miami Beach is a city in its own right, and has been since March 26, 1915.
This 18 m2 island was connected to the Biscayne Bay by a bridge in 1913. The opening up allowed its development, and this pleasant holiday resort then saw the small hotels emerging from the ground along the main artery, Ocean Drive. A seaside resort was born!
His kilometers of beaches lined with palm trees and its Art Deco buildings, built in the years 1920-1930, summarize in themselves the glamor of the American Riviera.
It was believed to be out of date at the end of the last century, less trendy than its rival LA, but Miami Beach has benefited from the revival of certain neighborhoods (Design District, Wynwood) of its neighbor Miami. Especially since the arrival of the contemporary art fair Art Basel and Winter Conference, great musical raout, allowed him to attract a trendy international fauna, always ready to tread the sand between two meetings.
