Located only three hours from Paris thanks to the Thalys, Maastricht is an international city par excellence. Made famous by the treaty that bears its name, it is a haven of peace after having been for centuries at the heart of multiple battles.

Visiter Maastricht

You will see this turbulent past by visiting the city walls which testify to the conflicts to which it has been the subject. But the history of Maastricht is being built every day because the city has entered fully into the contemporary world. The recent Céramique district, where great architects built beautiful, modern buildings, hosts a number of attractions including the Bonnefanten Museum.

Going out: an unsuspected culinary art

Eh yes, it is possible to eat well in Holland… And it is in Maastricht that it happens, because the city was under French governance for two centuries! No more chauvinism ... you should know that two restaurants are starred in the Michelin guide: the Beluga and the Totally. Other restaurants and cafes elegantly offer simpler cuisine for successful outings.
