Leisure parks: the crisis does not come on vacation

Leisure parks: the crisis does not come on vacation

Good attendance

This year, leisure parks are not experiencing the crisis! The various French parks have indeed recorded an increase in attendance over one year of 6 to 10% depending on the site. Main factors of this success: advantageous promotional offers and ever-increasing number of new attractions!

French leisure parks have it all. In these times of economic crisis, Disneyland Resort Paris, Parc Astérix, Futuroscope and Puy du Fou are doing better than defending themselves. For these summer holidays, the number of visitors is indeed up sharply in each of these parks. Visitors who see it as a good solution to relax and go on vacation inexpensively.

Disneyland Resort Paris: Mickey's magic still works

Market leader in terms of number of visitors, Disneyland Resort Paris takes advantage of its reputation and experience to consolidate its domination. At Disneyland, visitors get their money's worth with an inimitable universe and the regular launch of new attractions.
This year, Disneyland Resort is celebrating the most famous mouse among children by organizing “Mickey's Magic Party” (until March 17, 2010).

Parc Asterix: the Gauls are not crazy!

Night falls, Parc Astérix wakes up. In 2009, the park honoring the Gallic hero celebrates its 20th anniversary. And to properly celebrate this anniversary, Parc Astérix has innovated by offering “Gallic Nocturnes”: every Saturday, the park welcomes visitors until 23 pm. They can access the park from 16 p.m. with a 20 euro pass. The evening ends with a large fireworks display.

Futuroscope: the image park put into orbit

The Futuroscope in Poitiers is also doing well. This summer, two new attractions highlight the theme of space. “Cosmic Shocks” invites the public on an eventful journey in space while visitors can board the Apollo 11 space capsule in the company of funny flies for a voyage again very agitated. In this last show, the spectators are equipped with 3D glasses, confirming that the Futuroscope is indeed the temple of the image.

Puy-du-Fou: great success for Fountains

There are also many novelties at the Puy-du-Fou park. The summer of 2009 marks the arrival of two new shows and a new sequence for the Cinéscénie.
On the pond of Puy-du-Fou, "Les Grandes eaux" gives the park the air of the Palace of Versailles. During this aquatic ballet, 120 fountains are activated by an orchestra to allow the public to relive the "great hours of Versailles".
At nightfall, the pond is transformed to become the theater of the “Orgues de feu”, the other new show in Puy-du-Fou
