A few months ago, we shared with you a selection of the 20 hotels you absolutely must visit before you die. Besides that, thanks to the opinions of its millions of users, TripAdvisor can list each year the best hotels on the planet. Here we present the 10 best establishments of the year.

1. Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur (Jodhpur, Inde)

The first place in this 2016 ranking goes to the Umaid Bhawan Palace Jodhpur, a hotel located in & eeacute; in Jodhpur, a city in northwest India. Its decoration is Art Deco and its design borrowed from the Renaissance.

2. Shinta Mani Resort (Siem Reap, Cambodge)

The Shinta Mani Resort is located in the French Quarter of Siem Reap (Cambodia). The Junior Suite and the 62 rooms of the complex have a balcony with stunning views or direct access to a spectacular swimming pool and fantastic tropical gardens.

3. Bellevue Syrene (Sorrento, Italie)

The top 3 ends with the Bellevue Syrene, a spectacular hotel in Sorrento, Italy, which offers panoramic views over the Gulf of Naples. It mixes classic architecture and modern design.

4. Hanoi La Siesta Hotel & Spa (Hanoi, Vietnam)

What about French hotels in all of this?

French hotels are missing from this list of the 25 favorite establishments around the world! The French hotel industry, even if it is very appreciated all over the world thanks to its service and gastronomy, therefore still has a lot of work to do to dethrone these dream establishments. However, it should be noted that Saint-James dominated the French ranking in 2016, ahead of Fabric and Bristol, all three being located in Paris.
