This excursion is ideal for those who do not have time to follow our full day excursion. The excursion starts at 13:30 p.m. each day and we meet at the statue of Sir Walter Raleigh. The first site of the excursion is the Royal Observatory in Greenwich dating from 1675 and designed/built by Sir Christopher Wren.

Stand at the center of world time and space, on the reference meridian of the whole world. We will take you directly to the Flamsteed House where the apartments have been very well kept and cared for. This is where you'll see the clocks of genius John Harrison, the man who solved the longitudinal problem after a lifelong saga.

Then descend the hill to the National Maritime Museum, the largest such museum in the world. Highlights include Turner's monumental 'The Battle of Trafalgar' painting, Prince Frederick of Wales' barge, and more. A stylish cafe is located in the museum, where we will break for tea/coffee (own expense).

You will continue to the only surviving tea trading vessel: the Cutty Sark. After seven years of £52 million restoration, she looks very good. We'll take you straight on board, to the hold that held most of Shanghai's 10 tea chests in London during its heyday.

The next stop is the Old Royal Naval College which is now the campus of the University of Greenwich. Your guide will take you to the famous Queen's Gate where Queen Elizabeth used to greet her favorites such as Sir Francis Drake returning to England with Spanish gold and silver. Visit the beautiful Painted Hall where films such as "Thor 2" were filmed.

The tour normally ends at 16:00 PM at Greenwich Market which has existed here since the 1830's and has been transformed into a large market with art shops, stores and fantastic street food!
