Highlights

There are currently four sites where you can dive with the sharks. You will dive either in combination of 'Shark Wall' and 'La Arena' or in combination of 'Shark Wall North' and 'The Runway'. At each location you will encounter a meeting of Caribbean Reef Sharks on a consistent basis.

Your first dive is a "Freestyle" with the sharks on a magnificent reef. The sharks will follow you throughout the dive because you'll be close to the feeding site and they know it's dinner time. However, no bait will be exposed during this dive. This keeps sharks curious and creates a very physical encounter for divers – just like encountering a shark in the wild.

Your second dive is a shark feeding dive. Unlike regular dives, you'll spend this dive kneeling on the ocean floor. The divers will form a semi-circle in front of the professional feeder who will place a box of bait on the bottom. Your feeder uses the bait box to control food discards that influence shark behavior. Watch exactly how the shark feeder keeps sharks close to you. The sharks are very close, but they are more interested in the bait than you!

Participant requirements:

  • Must be at least 10 years old
  • Must be a certified diver (certification card must be carried at check-in)
  • Must be in good physical health
  • Divers who have not logged a dive in the last 3 years will be required to complete a refresher program before joining any scheduled dives. Each participant is required to wear a full wetsuit (long sleeves and long legs)
