Your tour begins with a journey through the Chiltern Hills to Oxford, the "City of Dreaming Spires". Oxford's sleek, dilapidated furnishings and courtyards have inspired generations of scholars (including Bill Clinton in the 1970s!). During your walk you can see the Bodleian Library and Christ Church College, where scenes from Harry Potter were filmed and where Albert Einstein studied. The tour also includes access to Christ Church.
Next, you'll travel through the Cotswold Hills, an area rich in history and heritage, to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of famous playwright William Shakespeare. You will visit his Tudor-style house with its typical living room, bedrooms, kitchen.
Castle of Warwick
Then you will arrive at Warwick Castle which dates back to medieval times, whose magnificent towers and ramparts remain almost intact. You will travel back through 1000 years of history to a bygone world of banquets, battles and ceremonies. Spend time in the Tussauds Wax Museum or, if you're feeling brave, visit the chilling dungeons where prisoners were tortured. You could take a walk through the lovingly tended gardens of the castle, where archery, falconry and jousting took place during the summer months.
