Travel along one of Australia's most scenic coastal drives as you head north from Port Douglas to Cooya Beach, where one of Warra Kubirri's brothers will teach you how to throw a spear and other techniques aboriginal hunting. Walk with the brothers on their ancestral lands, as you track down and observe wildlife and the surrounding countryside. Learn how to hunt fish, mud crabs and mussels through the mangroves, and try food and medicinal plants. You will be dirty!


Enjoy morning tea with fresh homemade Australian breads, tea, coffee and the catch of the day on the balcony of their family home, overlooking the ocean. The brothers demonstrate the various Aboriginal artifacts and their uses, and you may learn how to play the didgeridoo.

You continue north to the village of Daintree, for a one-hour river cruise to meet crocodiles on the majestic Daintree River. Have a picnic on the banks of the river before continuing to the spectacular Niau Falls and Tranquility in Daintree – 450 acres of private property.


The Niau Falls are an untouched natural wonder, your guided rainforest walk will reveal the secrets of this fascinating ecosystem. You'll see strange primitive plants and learn about the French-born settler family and their incredible story of survival. It's time for a swim in this magical forest environment before finishing your tour and returning to your accommodation.


Please note that this tour is interactive and not suitable for people with reduced mobility. You will cross muddy mangroves, walk along unclassified tracks and climb on wet rocks around a waterfall. A reasonable level of fitness is required to fully enjoy the experience.
