The Overland Track runs from Waldheim near Cradle Mountain to Lake St. It's clear, for very good reasons, the most popular extended walk in Australia. Hikers, from all corners of the country and abroad, are drawn to this stunning region and experience the splendor of its mountain ranges, the beauty of its unique vegetation, and the sheer solitude of the wilderness. This seventy kilometer (forty four mile) walk can normally be completed in five days, but for the seven of us, to better appreciate the special points of interest along the way.



Your schedule will include time to visit the tops of some of the tallest mountains in the state, perhaps even Mount Ossa, the tallest of them all.

Groups are limited to a maximum of ten people, a true sense of group identity develops, making this wilderness experience you know will be memorable.

The Cradle Mountain 7-day trek includes camping, cooking and feeding equipment, high quality tents, backpack, sleeping mat, sleeping bag and sleep sheet, communication equipment emergency, first aid supplies, all meals and transfers, food drops along the rail to lighten the weight and keep the national park clean.



No special skills are required for the hikes in the Cradle Mountain Overland Track although a good level of general fitness is required.
